Activation de compiz avec Separate X Screens

Bonjour,

Je suis sous Xubuntu 16.04 x64. J'ai installé l'environnement de bureau MATE. Je suis en Separate X Screens.

Je n'arrive pas à activer compiz sur le deuxième X Screen. Je précise que, sur le premier écran, Compiz fonctionne parfaitement, jusqu'au cube de bureau, en passant par les animations, etc.

Le deuxième écran apparaît noir, avec une croix noire à la place du pointeur et le clic droit ne fonctionne pas.
Néanmoins, un tableau de bord apparaît sur lequel il est possible d'effectuer un clic droit, d'installer des éléments et de lancer une application (qui s'ouvre sur l'autre écran) à partir d'un menu.

Xscreen0: écran VGA sur sortie VGA.
Xscreen1: écran VGA sur sortie DVI avec adaptateur.

Je fais un:

compiz --replace --display :0.1

Voilà la sortie:

J'ai également procédé à un essais sous Xfce. Avec la même manip, pas de problème. Je peux configurer mes deux écrans tout à fait indépendamment. Le problème ne viendrait donc pas de ma config.

Quelqu'un pourrait-il venir à mon secours SVP ?

Bien vu ton installe de la Xubuntu 16.04, mais des l'instant ou tu tente d'installer mate comme second environnement qui fait "opposition" au Xfce/Xubuntu....Puisque tout fonctionne, comme tu l'a précisé avec compiz installé et fonctionne avec Xfce sans PB ... je crois, mais pas sur, que le fait de rajouter mate provoque des conflits entre Xfce & Mate qui ne sont pas les mêmes environnements.... Avec par exemple :
menu whisker est pour Xfce...le menu de mate est différent plus compliqué, il me semble, même si je l'ai déjà...etc etc... Apparemment comme tu les a testés les deux, bon pour Xfce /Xubuntu, pourquoi ne pas tester l'installe complète de mate avec tout ce dont tu as besoin ? si tout est ok avec Mate, c'est qu'il y a un PB entre les deux environnements installés ensemble, a ce niveau..... a toi de voir, non ? 😉

Bonjour,

Tu a peut-être raison. Mais les éléments de tableau de bord et de personnalisation de Xfce sont propre à Xfce et ceux de MATE à MATE. Il ne sont pas accessible d'un environnement à l'autre. Il me semble donc bizarre que ça puisse jouer sur la mise en place de Compiz comme gestionnaire de fenêtre. Et je rappelle que, mise à part le problème du deuxième Xscreen, Compiz fonctionne parfaitement sous MATE. Cependant, je note une différence entre MATE et Xfce. C'est que sous Xfce, il faut configurer Compiz manuellement pour qu'il remplace définitivement le XFWM4, alors que sous MATE, il s'active en passant par MATE Tweak.

Par conséquent, je me demandais si ce n'est pas ce procédé qui pose problème, en empêchant de lancer Compiz par la ligne de commande. Ce que je suis justement obligé de faire sous Xfce.

Ne serait-il pas possible que MATE lance Compiz sans prendre en compte le fait qu'il y ai deux X Screens ?

Attention , moi -même, j'ai voulu tester et installer compiz après ma MàN de la Xubuntu 14.04===>16.04 apparemment les réglages de compiz ne fonctionnent pas , pas de fenêtre qui mouvent, rien des effets que j'ai cochés sont la, même après le restart de DD avec Xub.16.04? j'ai du supprimer compiz...
Y-a un truc bizarre de ton installe, une fois installé avec synaptic, compiz doit se trouver dans le "menu whisker Xfce" " xfce4-whiskermenu-plugin" version 4.10 ou 12 sais plus et dans mate ce compiz doit si trouver aussi, et pas les lancer avec le terminal... il me semble 😐
est-ce que la MàN de la Xub. 14.04 a du changer les ajouts de certains logiciels ? Quand j'ai installé compiz dans un autre OS, je n'ai pas eu de PB au niveau des effets ..... Te concernant ça doit quand même poser QQs PBs en plus , mais si je me trompe? la c'est différent ......
Comme j'ai aussi une mate QQpart, j'vais voir si tout est OK, mais pas sur ....... si je la retrouve ou pas 😉

Je viens d'installer une MATE toute fraîche. Le problème persiste. Compiz apparaît dans Mate Tweak, mais ne prend pas en charge le deuxième Xscreen. Et même problème avec la ligne de commande. Effectivement, le truc de la ligne de commande était donnée seulement en cas de problème de ralentissement avec le sep. X Screen.
