Applications ne se lancent plus

Bonjour à tous,
Depuis hier, plusieurs applications ne se lancent plus, il n'y a plus mes dossiers et fichiers sur mon bureau, reste juste la "barre de lanceurs".
Mais depuis la "barre de lanceurs" certain icônes ne sont plus fonctionnels ( Libreoffice, Chrome par exemple ) et même depuis une recherche via le "tableau de bord". C'est aussi le cas pour la plupart des autres applications trouvées dans le "tableau de bord" ( Keepass, Cairo-dock, etc... ), point intéressant le partage de bureau me propose 8 bureaux au lieu des quatre habituels, je vois bien apparaître mon bureau d'origine avec toutes ses icônes mais dans tous les cas je n'y accède pas.
Par contre Firefox ( très lent ), le terminal, la recherche de dossier, la logithèque, la recherche de fichier Catfish, sont fonctionnels.
Pour infos, même lors de l’ouverture de session je dois faire bouger ma souris pour qu'il me m'affiche la fenêtre de saisie du login, si je ne bouge pas je n'ai que le fond d'écran Ubuntu.
Bref, c'est un comportement étrange, mauvaise mise a jour ?
Si quelqu'un avait une idée, je suis preneur.

PS ; j'ai renommé Compizconfig comme proposé ailleurs dans d'autres cas, mais ça ne change rien. Un sudo apt-get update non plus.

S'il y a des valeurs très proches de 100%, il y aura du ménage à faire… et ça pourrait suffire à te rendre un système utilisable.

Si non → aurais-tu installé d'autres environnements de bureau ( gnome, xfce ou autre ) en plus d'Unity - et cela avec un seul et même utilisateur ?
Si oui → envisage de réinstaller un système propre…
Si non → as-tu les mêmes problèmes depuis une session « invité » ou depuis la session d'un autre utilisateur ( crées-en un nouveau pour voir ) ?
Si oui → voir le si oui précédent.
Si non → récupére les documents et certaines config's logicielles de l'utilisateur précédents, puis supprime l'ancienne session.

Tu parles de Cairo-Dock : il s'agit bien uniquement du dock ? Et pas d'une session Cairo-Dock ?
Si session cairo-dock → voir le si oui précédent.

Renommer Compizconfig : peux-tu décrire ta manip' plus précisément, ligne de commande utilisée, emplacement du fichier en question ?

Effectivement, ça me semble mieux sous une session invité, au moins avec Libreoffice ( pour le reste je ne sais pas, je ne les trouvent pas dans le tableau de bord )

Oui, il s'agit du doc en bas de l'écran ( qui n’apparaît plus donc )

je suis allé dans .cache et j'ai fait un "mv compizconfig-1 compizconfig-1_renamed" et j'ai rebooté ( un nouveau fichier compizconfig-1 é été créé )

Les 83% utilisés dans la partition / me semblent un peu suspects quand même. Il se pourrait bien qu'on y trouve une accumulation d'anciens noyaux linux.

On va commencer light par la commande

sudo apt autoremove --purge

dont tu postes le retour ici, entre balises code…

Si tu es sous Ubuntu 14.04 - tu n'as pas répondu à cette question au fait - remplace apt par apt-get dans la commande.

Les méthodes moins light sont par là https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/kernel si on est bien face à une accumulation de noyaux.
Après ça peut être d'autres accumulations, des logs, des archives d'installation, etc… voir https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/nettoyer_ubuntu

Tu as ce petit utilitaire très pratique pour voir / vider les dossiers, en fonction de leur remplissage : ncdu

Je suis sous Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

PS : Je dois signaler que le problème survient après déplacement du PC entre salon et chambre donc déconnexion des ports USB et reconnexion, il se pourrait qu'une interversion entre différents ports physiques pose ce genre de soucis? ( perso je ne le pense pas mais je préfère le préciser )

Le sudo apt autoremove n'a pas su les nettoyer car tu es probablement dans le cas de noyaux marqués comme installés manuellement voir https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/kernel#methode_simple_en_ligne_de_commande

Cairo-Dock n'est plus maintenu, en tout cas ce ppa ne propose pas de version après utopic… donc désolé si tu veux un dock ( bizarre sous Unity vu que tu en as déjà un… ) il vaut mieux te tourner vers plank ou vers unity-tweak-tool qui te permettra de placer le launcher en bas à l'horizontale ( et autres personnalisation d'Unity ).
Il faut purger proprement ce qui aura éventuellement installé par ce ppa obsolète. Pour cela, installer ppa-purge puis

sudo ppa-purge ppa:cairo-dock-team/ppa

Ensuite

sudo apt update

Au final mon problème n'a pas évolué et j'ai toujours ma "chié" de noyaux installés ;-)

Si Cairo est en cause il faudrait trouver un moyen de le virer ( je n'ai pas d'attache particulières avec ce truc, c'était juste esthétique ).

Ah. On a deux problèmes :
- les anciens noyaux prennent de la place pour rien mais ça n'est pas bloquant pour l'instant.
- le ppa cairo-dock n'est absolument pas compatible avec la 16.04 donc lui amène probablement une part des problèmes à l'ouverture de ta session.

À côté de ça ton système semble à jour, bon point.

Donc s'il n'est pas déjà installé sur ton système, installe le gestionnaire de paquets synaptic. Avec lui on va chercher via « origines » les paquets amenés par le ppa Cairo-Dock et les supprimer complètement.

Alors voilà, à l'allumage de mon PC ce matin, je ne peux ouvrir Synaptic car il y aurait une application de gestion paquet en cours d’exécution ?!

J'ai essayé de retrouver tout ça dans mes process "ps -ef" mais je ne savais pas ou trouver le bon process... bref, après recherche sur les forum j'ai fini pas taper la commande suivante :

sudo dpkg --configure -a

...voilà, maintenant il ne me pose plus de problème de verrouillage... mais Synaptic n’apparaît pas sur mon bureau alors que je le trouve bien lancé dans les process ( d'ailleurs j'y retrouve Chrome aussi que j'ai essayé sans succès, j'ai le sentiment qu'un autre process tourne, me bloque mon profil et me balance un profil par défaut )...

verrouillage → il y avait probablement un apt-update en cours en arrière plan ( update-notifier à 09:54 ). Attendre aurait pu suffire.

cairo-dock → l'idée c'est de le désinstaller, essayons via terminal :

sudo apt remove --purge cairo-doc*

oui il y a bien un * afin de supprimer tous les paquets dont le nom commence par cairo-doc

Si ça marche, cherche dans les fichiers cachés de ton dossier personnel tout ce qui pourrait avoir un rapport avec cairo-dock, et supprime-le.

Enfin il faudra supprimer de ton système le ppa cairo-dock :

sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/cairo-dock-team-ubuntu-ppa-xenial.list

noyaux → passer cette commande ésotérique :

Tu pourras si tu veux re-tester cairo-dock, il est dispo dans les dépôts universe pour xenial, donc pas besoin de ppa ( et surtout pas celui-là, obsolète ) pourquoi être passé par là ?

PAR CONTRE, je viens de m'apercevoir en faisant un capture d'écran que j'ai deux écrans démarrés et que je ne pointe que sur le deuxième, ce qui fait que lorsque je lance Chrome par exemple je ne le vois pas car il se trouve sur l'écran d'à côté, auquel je n'ai pas accès. Ci-dessous mes captures d'écran :

Bien sûr je n'ai accès qu'au deuxième écran, le problème est peut être beaucoup plus simple que prévu...mais j'ai pas la solution...

Je suis le roi des C...
J'ai derrière mon écran deux câbles, un DVI-I pour y brancher ma tour ( Ubuntu ) et un VGA pour brancher de temps en temps mon portable. Lorsque j'ai déménagé mon PC, j'ai machinalement et sans réfléchir une seconde, branché mes deux câbles sur ma tour, résultat j'avais deux sorties video connectés vers un seul et unique écran...J'ai honte de t'avoir monopolisé sur une bêtise pareille...
Bref, en tous cas Cairo à été enlevé et mon pc nettoyé, j'ai pas tout perdu ( a part ma fierté... )

Je te remercie beaucoup pour ta disponibilité ( si je pouvais je te payerai une tournée )

En voyant ton message de 14:17 je songeais alors aux « espaces de travail » dans Paramètres Systèmes → Apparence → Comportement

…heureusement que tu as trouvé l'origine de ton souci, sinon je t'envoyais encore sur une fausse piste !

( et oui, il faut toujours songer aux basiques dans un diagnostic : câbles d'alimentation, connexions… )
