J'ai été un peu occupé ces derniers temps donc je ne vous réponds que maintenant.
Pour répondre à Coeur Noir :
- Mon compte hotmail et mes deux comptes gmail sont en imap.
- Dans tous mes comptes, je vire les indésirables et vide mes corbeilles réglièrement. Par contre j'ai gardé mes anciens mails, et certains ont plus de 10 ans.
- Je n'utilise pas un "vieux" profil : j'ai réinstallé ubuntu 16.04 il y a 1 mois environ.
- Le compactage automatique des dossiers est activé

La commande la /etc/apt/sources.list.d -1 ne renvoie rien.
Je vous confirme que le problème se pose uniquement lorsque j'ajoute un second compte Gmail, et qu'il ne dépend pas de la machine utilisée : le pb s'est posé sur 2 machines différentes.
Je n'ai aucun problème sous windows 7 et 10, mais uniquement sous ubuntu 14.04 et 16.04.
Pour l'instant je n'utilise qu'un de mes deux comptes Gmail avec Thunderbird. Pour l'autre je fais via le web... pas très pratique !
Petite précision : mon environnement de bureau était gnome-session-fallback sous 14.04 et est gnome-session-flashback sous 16.04. Pensez vous que cela puisse venir de là ?
