Il est vraiment bizarre ton fichier /etc/default/grub
En principe, tu devais donner le retour de
cat /etc/default/grub
avant de faire ce que je proposais.
Je sais pas pourquoi mais il y a beaucoup de trucs décommentés et il manque des commentaires. Tu as visiblement touché à la fin du fichier. Je propose que tu copies le contenu suivant:

Tu édites /etc/default/grub avec
sudo nano /etc/default/grub
tu effaces tout le texte et tu colles avec ctrl+shift+v le texte précédemment copié. Tu enregistres comme expliqué précédemment et tu fais
sudo update-grub
pour repartir sur de bonnes bases (modulo le saved qui est un peu spécial)
