Il faut être rapide et le faire aussitôt tu as allumé l'ordinateur. Du coup j'ai un doute sur les touches [Shift] + [Ctrl].

Pour afficher le menu grub au démarrage:
Si on boot en BIOS «legacy» (avec le paquet grub-pc), ce serait la clé «Maj».
Si on boot en UEFI (paquet grub-efi), ce serait la clé «Échap»

Ca y est, j'ai trouvé comment entrer dans Grub. Attention, c'est tordu :
- au démarrage, appuyer plusieurs fois sur esc jusqu'à que le menu bios apparaisse.
- choisir "continuer le démarrage" et appuyer 1 seule fois sur esc pour fire apparaître le menu Grub.

Les messages correspondant à la commande ci-dessus sont ceux visibles sur la copie d'écran.

Donc, maintenant que j'ai accès à la console en root, que dois-je vérifier ?
Est-ce que je peux vérifier que le pilote vidéo utilisé est bien le pilote libre et sélectionner le chipsste par défaut ?

Bon. J'ai finalement trouvé comment accéder à GRUB. Là avec nomodeset et acpi=off, j'ai pu accéder à mon compte (en mode 800 x 600 ;-)) et choisir le pilote nvidia au lieu du libre. J'ai aussi supprimé des extensions gnome-shell que j'avais ajoutées dont nvidia stats qui a peut-être foutu la pagaille. J'ai redémarré et ça fonctionne. Je viens de remettre le pilote libre pour voir et ça semble fonctionner aussi.

Voici quand même le résultat de dsmg. Le problème d'ACPI existe toujours. Comme me le signale quelqu'un dans un autre forum, peut-être qu'il y a était déjà mais que je ne le voyais pas. Y-a-t-il quelque chose à faire ?

Dernier message pour résumer comment j'ai résolu le problème (sans être certain d'avoir tout compris :-) ).

Depuis quelques jours, mon HP Omen 15-ce… démarrait normalement. Mais une fois loggé, il s'éteignait tout seul en affichant le message suivant plusieurs fois :

J'ai pensé réinstaller Ubuntu depuis une liveusb mais même soucis : démarrage sur la clef, login automatique et, arrivé sur le bureau, extinction.

La solution a été d'ajouter nomodeset aux options de démarrage de GRUB. Pour accéder à GRUB, il faut allumer l'ordi et appuyer plusieurs fois sur échap jusqu'à que le menu d'accès au bios apparaisse. Il faut alors appuyer sur entrée pour poursuivre le démarrage et immédiatement appuyer 1 seule fois sur échap pour accéder au menu GRUB. (Si on appuie plus d'une fois, on accède à la ligne de commande GRUB >)

On appuie alors sur e pour éditer le fichier de config et on ajoute nomodeset à la fin de la ligne linux … Puis F10 pour enregistrer et continuer le démarrage.

On arrive à l'écran de login en mode 800 x 600 px (peut-être faudrait-il ajouter une commande à GRUB pour forcer le bon affichage).

Depuis l'icône des applications, on lance logiciels et mises à jour et on va dans pilote additionnel pour modifier le pilote de la carte vidéo : du libre au propriétaire ou l'inverse. On valide et on redémarre.

À partir de là ça a refonctionné. Le pb venait du pilote de la carte vidéo peut être parce que j'avais demandé la bascule entre le chipset interl et la carte nvidia sans relancer ma session (?). On peut le remodifier ensuite (cf la doc correspondante dans ubuntu-fr.org).

Par contre, ça n'a pas résolu le pb lié au message d'erreur ACPI (qui ne s'affiche plus mais semble toujours présent lorsqu'on fait

dmesg | grep -i error

Comme me l'a signalé quelqu'un : peut-être que ce message est là depuis un moment mais que je ne le voyais pas jusque là (et plus désormais).
