Vous m'avez si souvent aidé sur ce site sans que j'ai besoin de poster, ni meme de m'inscrire que j'ai bien cru que j'en n'aurais jamais besoin...
Mais las non! Je suis arrivé au bout du bout de ce que je pouvais faire toute seule... OK, ça va pas bien loin, même si ça m'a pris quelques heures/jours...:rolleyes: On va dire que j'ai le niveau "débutant en route vers l’intermédiaire" 😉

Donc voilà : comme dis dans le sujet, j'ai cette superbe imprimante USB laser multifonction Ricoh SP 211su qui veut pas fonctionner sur mon Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
Quand j'ai branché l'imprimante en USB, Ubuntu s'est mis en branle tout seul, il a reconnu que c’était une ricoh SP 211su ( 🙂 ) et il a installé le driver RICOH SP 212Nw PXL :/ .... Bon... je lance une impression et.... rien ne se passe...
OK, je remonte les manches, je cherche un peu sur le net, et je tombe sur la fameuse page de doc.ubuntu.fr : Installer une imprimante ou une multifonctions ricoh
En suivant le tuto, j'ai installé le paquet printer-driver-gutenprint, mais rien n'y fait...
Comme conseillé, je vais voir sur www.openprinting.org : sauf que dans la liste des "printer" Ricoh on passe du SP 210 au SP 212Nw sans passer par le SP 211 !!! (encore moins le SP 211su!!!)
Je continue donc les possibilités suivantes de mon tuto :
- via le ppa de l'africain : le paquet ricoh-sp-series est introuvable 🙁🙁, que ce soit en installant le ppa ou via le navigateur,
- via github : j'ai téléchargé les fichiers et essayer avec les ppd fournis (sp 100 et sp 204) : toujours pas d'impression....
Du coup, je continue de chercher sur le web, et je tombe sur cette vidéo youtube ou le gars affiche comme solution (même probleme avec même imprimante mais sur ubuntu 14.04) :
system settings -> Printers -> Add -> ricoh sp 211su -> "Generic" -> "PCL -/PCL XL" (c'était bien la peine de faire une vidéo pour afficher ça tiens !!!) Je suis pas sure d'avoir tout bien compris ce qu'il volait dire par là, mais j'ai quand même essayé de changer le driver RICOH SP 212Nw PXL par un "generic" :

Et pourtant, je suis sure qu'il y a moyen d'imprimer (au moins) puisque dans mes recherche je suis tombée plusieurs fois sur des pages qui disaient mon imprimante compatible linux, et aussi sur ce post sur linux.org où le gars a la meme imprimante que moi sous ubuntu 18 LTS et lui juste n'arrive pas a scanner, mais l'imprimante fonctionne!! (j'ai pas trop compris comment il avait fait...)...
Enfin, arrivée à ce point, je demande votre aide, parce que là, je sais plus quoi faire....

PS: le scanner ne fonctionne pas plus que l'imprimante, mais j'avoue que pour l'instant, c'est pas la priorité 😉

L'Africain a mis à jour son paquet de drivers ricoh pour la SP211 pour ubuntu 20.04. La solution (et les drivers 😉 ) se trouve sur cette page : Installer une imprimante ou une multifonctions ricoh

Sans garantie de succès, peut-être tenter de supprimer le paquet ippusbxd: 
sudo apt purge ippusbxd
...si ça ne marche pas, il suffit de le réinstaller:

j'ai supprimé le paquet, mais ca n'a rien donné 🙁 : toujours pas d'impression... 🙁 Elle ne sors même pas du mode veille, c'est rageant!!!

Je ne sais pas du tout si ça va fonctionner, mais je viens de mettre à jour mon ppa pour 20.04 pour toi. Essaye d'installer le pilote, puis utilise-le avec locahost:631 pour le choisir. Car l'outil de gestion des imprimante est buggé quand on veut changer le pilote.
Le paquet du ppa sera publier sous peu.

J'ai installé le paquet, supprimé l'imprimante et puis je l'ai réinstallée - ou plutôt j'ai cliqué sur "installer une imprimante" et tout s'est fait tout seul, avec le bon driver, nickel...
J'avais justement besoin d'imprimer une feuille de calcul google... j'ai cliqué sur le bouton d'impression, et paf, elle s'est mise en "préchaffauge" (oui, mon imprimante est dyslexique... ça fait marrer tout le monde, mais moi j'aime bien 😉 lol) et elle m'a sortie ma feuille nickel-chrome!!!

Bon, pour la partie scanner, je sais pas si ça fonctionne, et j'avoue que ce n'est pas ma priorité! Je ne sais même pas comment on fait un scan sous linux... Ce qui m'intéresse surtout c'est de pouvoir faire des photocopies, et pour ça, elle le fait toute seule, pas besoin de PC... On verra si un jour j'en ai besoin... Mais pour l'heure je marque le post en résolu...

Pour le scanner, ça devrait le faire sans problème. Tu peux juste essayer avec simple-scan au moins pour voir.
Pour localhost va ici tu comprendras:

Ha c'est mal barré 🙁 : simple-scan ne détecte pas le scanner ...

Edit : moi j'ai : Numériseur de documents 3.36.3, je sais pas si c'est "simple scan" ....

Les pilotes ne dépendent pas du logiciel, qui utlisent sane. Ce modèle devrait avoir été intégré à la dernière version de Sane.
