Je lance ce topic ne trouvant pas énormément d'infos de conversion vers GPT avec du raid et donc plusieurs disques.
Alors ma situation est la suivante, j'ai une install Ubuntu server qui même si en 20.04 a pas mal vécu et donc est en partitions MBR.
Cependant, j'ai un Raid 10 avec 4 disques de 3TB et malheureusement je n'ai que 4TB accessible sans doute à cause du MBR, or ca ne me gênait pas au début car je ne manquais pas de place, mais là, cette place non utilisable va commencer à me manquer.
Alors, mon install se défini comme suit:
6 disques
- 2 disques système avec 3 partitions en Raid 1
- 4 disques data avec une partition en Raid 10 + un Cryptsetup par dessus
Le but de l'opération serait donc de passer de MBR en GPT sans perte de données pour éviter d'avoir à tout se faner à réinstaller.
Plusieurs questions:
1] Même si ma carte mère est compatible UEFI, est ce que le passage en boot EFI est forcément nécessaire, ou la technique avec la partition BIOS boot est suffisante...
2] La conversion avec
gdisk doit-elle être fait sur l'ensemble des disques ? /dev/sda - /dev/sdf ?
Enfin, la question la plus importante, est-ce que vu ma configuration actuelle (système en Raid 1 multi-partitions, et data en Raid 10 avec partition chiffrée), vous pensez que l'opération est jouable ?
