J'ai installé virtualbox pour "Windows XP" avec la nouvelle version d'ubuntu, il a fonctionner plusieurs fois puis je ne peux plus le faire fonctionner voilà le message:

Pour donner plus de détails, j'ai installé le paquet virtualbox qui a lancé l'installation de lui même. Au préalable j'ai installé les paquets linux-headers-generic et build-essential. Je vous affiche le log de virtualbox si ca peut vous aider...

J'ai un inspiron 6400 avec une ati x1400.
Quand j'essaie d'utiliser une machine virtual box j'ai le message suivant:

The VirtualBox kernel driver is not accessible to the current user. Make sure that the user has write permissions for /dev/vboxdrv by adding them to the vboxusers groups. You will need to logout for the change to take effect..
VBox status code: -1909 (VERR_VM_DRIVER_NOT_ACCESSIBLE).

J'ai d'autre kernel proposé par grub au démarrage:

Ubuntu 8.04, kernel 2.6.24-16-virtual

  Ubuntu 8.04, kernel 2.6.24-16-386

mais quand je les utilise j'ai un écran blac au démmarrage de la session gnome.
Je viens de mettre le driver de ma carte ati à jour.

Salut à tous, il m'arrive un truc tres bizarre:

j'ai installé VirtualBox pour Hardy a partir du lien donné dans le 1er poste et tout est nickel, 1er lancement nickel, installe de mon OS nickel, mais pas de menu "outil systeme" dans "applications"...
rien de grave, je lance VB en console

sudo VirtualBox

avec les majuscules, pas de bléme, j'installe, tout va nickel...
J'installe l'usb, et je redemarre Ubuntu...
C'est là que ca devient bizarre, j'ai désormais un menu "outil systeme" dans "applications" avec VirtualBox, je le lance, et là: Pas d'OS !!!
Je ne m'inquiété pas, je ferme et je le relance en console, et il est là !!!
Je referme, je le relance par "outil systeme" dans "applications", et plus rien!!
c'est a devenir dingue !!

En résumé: si je lance VB en console, pas de bleme, si je le lance par le menu "applications" j'ai plus de systeme virtualisé!!

Alors avant que je reinstalle tout, quelqu'un aurrait il un moyen pour que je recupere ma 1ere installe avec le VB qui est dans le menu "applications" ??? svp ?

D'un autre coté si tu lance virtualbox en sudo c'est un peu normal!

reessaye en le lancant sans les droits admin, retrouve le VDI, donne ui les bon droits et ca reviendra!

Tu as raison, quand je lance VB en root (par le terminal) le vdi est stocké dans "/root/.VirtualBox/VDI/".
Quand je lance VB par son icône dans le menu Applications et que je clique sur "fichier/gestionnaire de disues virtuel" il va "par defaut" chercher dans "/home/ewfzapp/.VirtualBox/VDI/"
J'ai donc réouvert VB par son icone dans "apllications" et indiqué le chemin de mon VDI installé en sudo, mais évidemment j'ai pas les droits pour l'utiliser, alors voila ma question:

"comment puis-je obtenir les droits" ou bien "dois-je tout reinstaller"??

1)Tu coupe/colle ton vdi dans le chemin indiquer "/home/ewfzapp/.VirtualBox/VDI/"

2) tu change les droits en ligne de commande (je sais pas la quelle, c'est un truc avec chown mais je connait plus la commande par coeur). Il faudrais trouver un mec qui s'y connait mieu en ligne de commande donc!

J'ai un gros problème avec ma VirtualBox, tout marchait très bien jusqu'à hier et ce matin quand j'ai démarré ma VB j'ai eu le message d'erreur suivant.
