Edgy tourne très bien sur mon MacBook Pro, mais j'ai un petit problème de clavier.
J'ai installé la méthode de Phico avec Xmodmap :

La combinaison "Shift+Flèche (Gauche ou Droite) ne (dé)sélectionne pas le texte dans Nautilus ou dans GEdit. Bizarrement, la même combinaison fonctionne bien dans Firefox.
Une idée ?
