Faire fonctionner Mercury Messenger avec Beryl

Salut à tous!

En voulant tester Mercury Messenger ce soir, je me suis rendu compte que ca ne fonctionnait pas. A la fin du lancement je tombais sur la fenètre de Mercury mais celle-ci était vide. Après un passage sur le forum j'ai lu que c'était un bug de java. Avec Metacity ca fonctionne bien mais pas avec Beryl.
Finallement après pas de mal de temps je suis tombé sur une page du site Kubuntu espagnol avec la petite astuce qui va bien :

-> Editer le fichier startup_linux.sh qui se trouve dans le répertoire startup de l'archive Mercury en y insérant :

export AWT_TOOLKIT=MToolkit

juste avant la ligne suivante :

java -Djava.library.path=jni/linux:jni/linux/jmf -Xmx512m -classpath $classpath com.dMSN.Main

Et ca marche comme sur des roulettes 😉

ça marche chez moi uniquement si je remplace le path du raccourci par

bash /usr/lib/mercury/startup/startup_linux.sh

et dans ce cas là je n'ai pas l'icone dans la zone de notification, y aurait-il une solution ?

je fais sudo gedit startup_linux.sh, et la une page blanche s'affiche.

Je comprend pas bien, est ce que tu parle d'une archive mercury tar.gz ou du package .deb?

de mon cote, j'ai une feisty, java1.6, mercury 1.9rc7c. J'ai modifie le startup.sh avec l'export, et voila ce que ça donne :

ça va vite m'enerver si je dois couper beryl a chaque fois que je veut utiliser mercury.

vous devez editer le script de lancement de mercury (startup_linux.sh) et rajouter a la premiere ligne le export=awt machin ...

ensuite, vous aurez la fenetre de mercury qui apparaitra bien sous beryl 😉

sinon, vous passez a compiz-fusion et perso j'ai aucun probleme avec java ...

Il suffit de passer a jre6 .et de garder le fichiers modifé
