Impossible de récupérer profil thunderbird

Je viens de créer un nouvel utilisateur ubuntu et demarré TH et j'ai configurer un compte imap a la main il a parfaitement fonctionné réception et envois de message et mdp retenue, dés que j'ai copié mon ancien profil on reviens a la case départs plus de mots de passe enregistré

Bon, eh bien tu as bien les fichiers nécessaires... je ne vois plus trop ce qu'il faudrait faire ; peut-être des soucis de droits. Vois à t'approprier les droits des fichiers relatifs aux mots de passe :
* cert8.db
* cert9.db
* key3.db
* key4.db
* logins.json

Tu peux faire ça en comparant les droits des fichiers qui ont été créés sur l'autre utilisateur Ubuntu. Compare également les droits des sous-dossiers du profil.

Pour les droits et permissions, tu as la doc ICI.

Mais je suis déçu que nous ne sommes pas arriver à aboutir. J'espère que tu y arriveras par un autre moyen.
En tout cas, donne un retour, surtout si tu réussi à solutionner.

Juste un petit truc je n'ai pas de fichier key4.db cela peut il venir de la et tout les fichiers étaient en lecture seule

Non, je ne pense pas que cela soit la cause. Personnellement, je n'ai que le fichier key4.db. Mais je sais que d'autres personnes n'ont que le key3.
Et c'est le même binz avec Firefox, personne ne sait vraiment expliquer pourquoi l'un ou l'autre ou les deux... Une discussion ici à ce sujet (ça concerne Firefox mais ça ne change rien) => https://forums.mozfr.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=136784&hilit=key4.db

EDIT : c'est aussi la raison pour laquelle je t'avais fait renommer ces fichiers (en .bak) gérant les mots de passe afin que TBird les recréer sous la meilleure forme. Et apparemment, c'est le key3.db qui a été recréé.

Mozilla a changé et ça explique aussi les difficultés pour passer d'un profil créé dans une version key3 vers un profil dans une version utilisant key4

mon Thunderbird est ancien j'ai les 2, le profil a été créé avec une version Thunderbird utilisant key3 et Thunderbird a été upgradé depuis dans une version qui peut utiliser key4

Ça a peut-être été écrit quelque part dans ce long fil de 4 pages mais les comptes de ton TBird antérieur (je veux parler du profil que tu as récupéré) étaient-ils en POP ou en IMAP. Et même s'il étaient en IMAP, avais-tu déplacé des messages dans des dossiers locaux ?

Parce que si c'était de l'IMAP et qu'aucun message n'a été déplacé vers des dossiers locaux (cela veut dire que tous tes messages sont toujours sur les serveurs), tu pourrais créer un nouveau profil tout neuf via le gestionnaire de profil et recréer chacun de tes comptes. C'est assez rapide.

Bon, c'est sûr que c'est un peu rageant de ne pas pouvoir récupérer un profil existant (ce qui est une des forces de TBird et Firefox) mais ce serait un moindre mal et tu repartirais sur un profil propre car celui que tu essaies de récupérer possède quelque part une corruption que nous ne sommes pas parvenus à déceler. 🙁

EDIT : Ah si, il y a un truc qu'on devait faire et qui ne l'a pas été, c'est ce qu'a proposé Nam au post #39, le safe-mode. Fais-le et donne le retour.

je viens de lancer TH en safe mode comme demandé et ça marche j'ai tout mes comptes avec mots de passe et tout mais tout les menu sont en anglais.
