Désormais la documentation faite par manuker Carte son M-Audio Audiophile 2496 est la conclusion des deux sujets du forum concernant cette carte sonore Audiophile 2496 M-Audio.

Sinon la méthode qui fonctionnait depuis 9.10 mise sur le forum à partir de 10.04, fonctionnant sur 10.10 :

Il semblerait que pour faire fonctionner cette carte son il faut installer des paquets nécessaires :
sudo apt-get install alsa-tools alsa-tools-gui
Éditer et ajouter la ligne dans la section SUBSYSTEMS juste avant LABEL="pulseaudio_end" de :
/lib/udev/rules.d/90-pulseaudio.rules

Puis pour que la carte fonctionne sous le bureau en 96 kHz 24 bits, repérer puis modifier dans
/etc/pulse/daemon.conf

Vérifier les paramètres Locked décoché - Reset coché - int 96000 dans envy24control / hardware settings
